Status on 6 October 2026
CNFans' story has two parts. In January 2026 a wave of 'CNFans is dead' posts spread across affiliate blogs. rep.tools traced it to the 21 to 23 January window, when CNFans ended its referral commissions on 22 January, and found it false: CNFans kept operating for months. Then in August 2026 CNFans really did shut down, with owner confirmation, according to rep.tools. Its website may still load, but the service is not operating. Its Trustpilot page had its last review on 8 July 2026.

Why CNFans spreadsheets are everywhere
CNFans was one of the largest agents: about 308,500 searches a month worldwide even in September 2026, led by Spain, Italy and Germany, and about 8,100 US searches for "cnfans spreadsheet". Its sheets were among the most shared, so a large share of the lists in circulation, including many labelled DHgate spreadsheets, contain CNFans links that now fail.
What still works
The items. A CNFans link wraps a Taobao, Weidian or 1688 item ID, and that item may still be listed. Only the CNFans wrapper is dead. Converting a list takes minutes, and you lose nothing except the old agent.
Treat CNFans as closed: convert its links and do not send money to anything claiming to be CNFans.
Moving the spreadsheet
Every row in an old list is a Taobao, Weidian or 1688 item wrapped in the agent's link. Paste the rows into the link sorter; it pulls out the platform and item ID and gives you clean marketplace links you can open on any Working agent from the index. Delete rows whose item no longer exists rather than keeping dead links.
DHgate vs CNFans
"DHgate vs CNFans" and "CNFans vs DHgate" still get searches. With CNFans gone, the comparison is really DHgate versus the agent you replace it with; our DHgate vs CNFans page explains how that choice works now.
Lessons from the January rumour
The false January wave shows why we only call an agent shut down on firm evidence. A commission change or an outage is not a closure; owner confirmation, a dead domain or a documented raid is.
Beware CNFans look-alikes
After a big agent closes, look-alike domains appear using its name. Nothing operating today is CNFans.
Where CNFans buyers went
Joyagoo, KakoBuy, Oopbuy and USFans each drew former CNFans users; for Spanish buyers, USFans' large Spanish community is a natural fit.
A five-point check for CNFans
- Reviews: 4.1 / 5; read the ten newest before paying.
- Activity: newest review 8 July 2026; a long gap is a reason to test small.
- Status: Shut down (owner-confirmed, Aug 2026); re-check the site on the day you pay.
- Community: strongest in Spain, so look for reviews from buyers near you.
Using CNFans with a DHgate spreadsheet
Most lists searched as "DHgate spreadsheet" are part DHgate, part Taobao and Weidian. With CNFans, only the second group matters. CNFans cannot handle the agent rows any more: buy DHgate rows directly and convert the rest.
Who searches for CNFans
Search interest tells you where an agent's buyers are. In Semrush data from late September 2026, CNFans drew about 308,500 searches a month worldwide, led by Spain (60,500), Italy (49,500), Germany (40,500). US searches for "CNFans spreadsheet" ran at about 8,100 a month.
Other agents to look at
Buyers who consider CNFans often also look at Joyagoo, KakoBuy, USFans. The status index shows all 31 agents side by side.
The same three signals for each, as of 6 October 2026:
| Agent | Status | Trustpilot (reviews) | Newest review |
|---|---|---|---|
| CNFans | Shut down | 4.1 | 8 Jul 2026 |
| Joyagoo | Working | 4.6 (2,922) | 9 Sep 2026 |
| KakoBuy | Working | 4.2 (311) | 5 Oct 2026 |
| USFans | Working | no score shown | 2 Oct 2026 |
Timeline
January 2026: CNFans ends referral commissions on 22 January, and a wave of false 'CNFans is dead' posts follows within days. February to July: CNFans keeps operating; its last Trustpilot review is dated 8 July. August 2026: the shutdown is confirmed by its owners, according to rep.tools. September and October: the website can still load, but the service is closed. Keeping the dates straight matters, because some pages still repeat the January rumour as if it were the closure.
