What people search for
Semrush records about 3,200 searches a month worldwide for "Taobao spreadsheet". Google's autocomplete for the US, Italy and France (6 October 2026) shows what people add to it: “taobao spreadsheet”, “taobao spreadsheet qc”, “taobao spreadsheet men”, “spreadsheet for taobao”, “taobao spreadsheet pdf”, “taobao y2k spreadsheet”, “taobao app spreadsheet”, “taobao alt spreadsheet”, “taobao gym spreadsheet”, “vkei taobao spreadsheet”, “taobao only spreadsheet”, “taobao spreadsheet larp”.
Why Taobao needs an agent
Taobao is built for buyers in China. Sellers quote prices in yuan, ship to Chinese addresses, and expect payment through Chinese systems. Taobao does run an international shipping option for some items and regions, and its app has an English interface, but most items in a spreadsheet are listed by small sellers who only ship domestically. That is why autocomplete searches such as "taobao agent spreadsheet", "is taobao shipping free" and "how much is taobao shipping to usa" appear: buyers discover that the link is only half the story. An agent pays the seller, receives the item in its warehouse, photographs it and ships it to you, usually combined with other items.
Taobao compared with DHgate
| DHgate | Taobao via agent | |
|---|---|---|
| Ships abroad | Yes, seller ships directly | Usually through an agent |
| Typical prices | Includes margin for international buyers | Domestic Chinese prices, often lower |
| Photos before shipping | No | Yes, agent warehouse photos |
| Combining shops | No, one parcel per seller | Yes, one consolidated parcel |
| Buyer protection | DHgate escrow and disputes | Agent returns within China, before shipping |
| Best for | One or two cheap items | Hauls, sizing-sensitive items |
Taobao through an agent wins on price and photos for hauls; DHgate wins on simplicity for single items.
Finding reliable Taobao sellers
"Best taobao sellers spreadsheet" is one of the commonest autocomplete suggestions, because seller choice matters even more on Taobao than on DHgate. Taobao shows seller ratings as hearts, diamonds, crowns and gold crowns, rising with sales history, plus detailed scores for description accuracy, service and shipping. A long-established store with high scores and many buyer photos in reviews is the safest bet. Tmall stores, Taobao's branded storefronts, are official brand or authorised shops and sell genuine products at full price; they are a different thing from the small stores most spreadsheets link.
What shipping to the USA costs now
There are two legs. Domestic shipping from the seller to the agent's warehouse in China is usually small, often ÂĄ0 to ÂĄ15. International shipping is the big one, charged by weight and sometimes volume, and varies by line: economy lines are cheapest and slowest, express couriers fastest. Since 29 August 2025, every parcel to the US owes duty, so look for an agent line that includes duties, or budget for the carrier to collect them. A rough guide: shoes with a box weigh 1.2 to 1.6 kg, a hoodie 0.6 to 0.9 kg, a tee 0.2 to 0.3 kg. Our calculator compares the total with buying similar items on DHgate, and the US page covers duty.
Is Taobao shipping free?
Many Taobao listings say free shipping, but that means free delivery within China, to your agent's warehouse. International shipping is always extra. When a spreadsheet lists a Taobao price, add the agent's international line to compare it with a DHgate listing that includes shipping to your door.
Taobao spreadsheets by category
Autocomplete shows Taobao spreadsheets searched by style and category, including old money, running gear, Canada-specific lists, decor and cologne. Category advice on this site applies to Taobao items too: see clothing, shoes and bags. Home decor, while popular on Taobao, is bulky and expensive to ship internationally, so it rarely appears in efficient hauls. Fragrance faces the liquid-shipping limits explained on our cologne page.
Choosing an agent for Taobao
Every agent on our index buys from Taobao. For first orders, Joyagoo, KakoBuy and Superbuy have the largest current review records; check the status column before topping up, since Mulebuy and Hoobuy are marked Reported and CNFans has closed. If you would rather not open an account, our WhatsApp service buys Taobao items for you and quotes a delivered price.
Taobao links in old spreadsheets
Taobao item links contain an id parameter, for example item.taobao.com/item.htm?id= followed by digits. That number is all an agent needs. If your list wraps Taobao items in a closed agent's link, the link sorter extracts the ID.
Is Taobao reliable?
Taobao is a huge, established marketplace run by Alibaba Group, and the platform itself is reliable. As on DHgate, quality depends on the seller. The agent step adds a check DHgate lacks: you see your actual item before it leaves China and can return it to the seller cheaply if it is wrong.
Taobao for Canadian and UK buyers
"Taobao canada spreadsheet" shows up in autocomplete because Canadian buyers face a specific rule: parcels up to C$20 are generally free of duty and tax, but most agent hauls exceed that, so GST or HST and possibly duty apply, plus a brokerage fee if a courier clears the parcel. UK buyers pay VAT at the point of sale on consignments up to ÂŁ135, and agents with UK lines usually build it into the quote. See the Canada page and UK page.
